Baratie

With the assortment of food outlets One Piece already has in its other establishments, it's no surprise a proper restaurant based on the famous Baratie (where Luffy first met his own cook, Sanji) does in fact exist. Instead of floating on the sea however, Tokyo's Baratie can be found at the Fuji TV station in Odaiba. The restaurant offers a more sophisticated atmosphere with soft background music from the anime series playing and figures of the Strawhat crew decorate the interior.

Since opening in 2013, the menu has been on a constant rotation, following Luffy's adventures from the East Blue all the way to Dressrosa and keeping any local fans coming back for more time and time again. Other than the loop of background music, the restaraunt also plays the most recent episode preview (so beware of spoilers!) along with a short introduction to the current menu, detailing some of the menu items as well as the motifs they're drawn from. Visit during dinner for a special apperance by Owner Zeff! When exiting the restaurant, take a right and head into the Fuji TV souvenir stores. Venture through the store to reach the One Piece section towards the back. So much food! Unlike other One Piece food establishments, the Baratie is more on the "fine dining" side of things so it can get a big pricy with main dishes costing as much as 4000yen.

J-World

J-World is a small attraction park located in Sunshine City shopping centre in Ikebukuro. It celebrates the many series of Weekly Shonen Jump and naturally, the veteran series One Piece dominates a good half of the park. The park offers several attractions, some long term and others temporary. One Piece has several permanent attractions including an adventure with Chopper where you must roam the park to find the other Strawhat's, a carousel where Brook provides the background music and a ride down memory lane aboard the Mini-Merry. In the J-Kitchen, you'll find a large variety of meals themed off different Jump series and their characters. The menu is always changing but you can be sure there will always be a handful of different One Piece dishes for you to try.

Unlike any other series, One Piece also has a small cafe separate from the J-Kitchen under the name of "Cafe Mademoiselle". The cafe, supposedly put into place by Sanji judging by the many 'Ladies welcome. Men can get out" signs, offers drinks, savoury and sweet dishes in a peaceful cafe just outside of One Piece's "Dockyard Street" inside J-World. Rides, attractions and interactive games allow for a fun day out. Keep an eye out for special appearances of popular Jump characters too! A small store inside J-World offers a small variety of One Piece merchandise as well as goods from various other Jump series. J-Kitchen and Cafe Mademoiselle both offer savoury and sweet dishes and various drinks. 800 yen entry or 2600 yen for a special Passport that allows unlimited access to all attractions (unless stated otherwise). All other attractions within the park come at an extra fee of 400-600yen each, so the Passport is definitely recommended! Arrive after 5pm and purchase the Passport for only 1800yen! But wait, there's more!! Be sure to show your international passport when buying your ticket (at the booth, not the machine) and staff will give you a special discount!

Mugiwara Store

The Mugiwara Store is a branch of stores dedicated to a large variety of One Piece goods. You'll find t-shirts, charms, accessories and other official One Piece goods in other popular anime outlets such as Animate, but the Mugiwara Store is 100% One Piece and often holds many exclusive items that cannot be found anywhere else!

The stores offer unique decorations, goods, events and even have their own set of point cards where you can score special bromides if you spend a certain amount. There are currently two stores in Tokyo, the first and main store being in Shibuya and a second Shibuya store is set to open April 2016! The second store is at Tokyo Tower! There are another 3 stores in Japan, located in Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya.

One Piece ship to anchor at Japanese theme park

Ahoy, landlubbers! The Thousand Sunny, the preferred vessel of the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece, is paying a call at the port of Laguna Ten Bosch, a theme park in Gamagori, southeast of Nagoya. Interested fans are invited to board the ship for a few hours to partake in a cruise. They will be treated to a stage show, music and a toast to the Straw Hat crew. Commemorative mugs and certificates will be given as souvenirs.

The premium cruises will be offered on July 4 and 5, four times a day. If you can’t make it for those, fear not: the Thousand Sunny will still ply the waves afterwards until the end of August, and guests will still be able to take their pictures with the Straw Hat pirates. There just won’t be a stage show. Tickets can be bought at 7-11 stores in Japan. Prices for adults (middle school age and above) range from 3,500 yen ($28) on the premium cruise to 1,200 yen ($9.70) on the regular cruise during the week (weekend prices rise to 1,600 yen/$12.90). The cruise commemorates a similar experience offered in 2011 at Huis Ten Bosch, Laguna Ten Bosch’s sister theme park in Nagasaki. In addition, the port of Laguna Ten Bosch will be reworked as “Sunny’s Port Area,” with restaurants and cafes offering One Piece-themed menus, shops selling One Piece merchandise, and places to reenact famous One Piece scenes.

One Piece Theme Park Officially Named Tokyo One Piece Tower, a Portion of Attractions Also Announced

A theme park at which the world of the hugely popular manga and anime One Piece can be experienced live is opening in 2015. The official name of this theme park is Tokyo One Piece Tower. The theme park will be inside the Tokyo Tower Foot Town building, which is right in the middle of Tokyo. It’s an easy to understand name that appeals to its location. Also in time with the announcement of the official name, a logo incorporating an image of the Tokyo Tower has been released. Tokyo One Piece Tower is advancing as part of the Amuse Tokyo Tower Project (tentative title) by Amuse Quest, a subsidiary of Amuse.

The theme park will include attractions themed after One Piece, live entertainment shows, restaurants, shops, and more. There have been many One Piece attraction events and projects carried out to date, but what makes Tokyo One Piece Tower special is that it’s a permanent fixture. The theme of Tokyo One Piece Tower is for it to be a theme park that fans can carefreely visit at any time. A portion of the attractions have also been introduced on the official site. The three attractions reveals this time are “Chopper’s Thousand Sunny,” “Nami’s Casino House,” and “Brook’s Horror Castle.” Each of the rides are tentatively named and themed after a different popular character. Go exploring together with Chopper inside the fan-familiar Thousand Sunny on “Chopper’s Thousand Sunny.” Wager your bellies in a casino run by Nami on “Nami’s Casino House.” And experience a haunted house produced by Brook on “Brook’s Horror Castle.” More attractions are forthcoming. Inside Japan's New One Piece Theme Park

Dubbed "Tokyo One Piece Tower," this is Japan's first large-scale One Piece theme park. As Kotaku reported last year, this theme park (and it's explicitly being called a "theme park" or テーマパーク in Japanese) marks the 15th anniversary of the One Piece anime.

Pretty cool, huh? Websites Biglobe, Fashion Snap, and newspaper Asahi got to check out the theme park before it opens tomorrow, as did a handful of Twitter users. There are cool One Piece sculptures and displays as well as carnival-type games. You can also go inside a Thousand Sunny recreation, watch the live action stage show that uses projection mapping, or dine on, you guessed it, One Piece food.
